Who are The Armitage Army?

The Armitage Army was founded as The Richard Armitage Yahoo Group on November 15th 2004, the day after North and South was first broadcast on British TV. The phrase the Armitage Army was coined by a member's neglected husband who complained that his wife was always on the internet talking to The Armitage Army (Thanks Trev).

We expanded into this website and the original and official Armitage Army Forum has moved on to its new home here. The Armitage Army are now mentioned in the media in interviews with Richard. Richard himself says "It fills me with confidence to know that if I ever have to go to war I have an army of women behind me".
